Privacy policy

GoBrazil (gobrazil.app) is a practical guide for people living in Brazil. This page says which personal data the site handles and why. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking scripts.

Reading the guides

Reading needs no account. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site, under its own privacy policy.

Your browser keeps your choices on your device: the interface language and the light or dark theme. They are not sent anywhere for tracking.

Other languages

When you pick a language the guides are not written in, the interface texts and the guide page you opened are translated by machine translation services. Only the public text of the site is sent, never anything about you. The translated page is stored on our server so the next reader gets it at once.

Comments

To write a comment you sign in with Google. We receive only what Google passes for the profile permission: your name, your picture and an account identifier. We do not receive your e-mail address or your password.

Comments are public: your name, picture, the text and the time are shown to everyone. The comments service (Remark42, at comments.gobrazil.app) keeps them on our own server and may keep technical identifiers needed to stop abuse.

Suggested corrections

The form under each guide sends the text you write and, if you add it, your contact. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the sender is not a bot. The suggestion becomes a confidential task for the editors in GitLab; nothing is published.

Your rights

You may ask us to show, correct or delete what we hold about you, including your comments. Use the suggestion form on any guide, leave a way to reach you, and write what you need. We do not sell data and do not share it, except with the services named above that run the site.
